Special Events
The Achievement Academy has on going year around special events for our students and families. To participate or volunteer, please contact our director at your local school site.


Family Fun Nights
Children and parents enjoy evenings of fun through activities that bring all of our families together. Family fun nights and events are held at various locations throughout the community during the school year.


Cultural Celebrations
Throughout the year, the Achievement Academy supports and participates in cultural community based programs that teach and celebrate diversity understanding through fun family oriented events in communities throughout the country. Please check our community calendars for all of our upcoming events.


Carnival
Every year in the spring, the Achievement Academy Parents’ Support Group sponsors a Louisiana styled Carnival event for current and former students. Through the generosity of donations from the community, the event gives our children the opportunity to experience a “day at the carnival” with games, food, fun, and prizes. This year the carnival will be held on Saturdays, between February and April 2010. Please check our Academy calendars for this event.


Graduation
Since 2002 with the first Achievement Academy Program, we have held a yearly graduation celebration for Academy students. With each of our graduates and their families we recognize the tremendous achievement our students have made and mark each occasion with a commitment to continue our dedication to the next class of leaders of the world.


Scholarship
The Achievement Academy will provide $20,000 in college scholarship aid to high achieving graduating seniors. Scholarships are competitive and are based on need and academic achievement, service learning and areas of interest. Student applications are due each spring by March 31st.
